Job Description

  • CW Seibi Technician Trainer supporting TMMK operations.

  • Onsite at TMMK and will work at NAPSC.

  • Expected start date is ASAP.

  • Team consists of 8 trainers.

  • Prior Client experience as a maintenance member or vendor supporting Client equipment is highly preferred.

  • Position requires strong people skills with the ability to conduct classroom and hands-on equipment training.

  • Ability to create training curriculum and present technical content to teams.

  • Will support Seibi Technicians on the production floor.

  • Up to 50% overtime as required.

  • Travel required across North America, Canada, Mexico, and Japan.

  • Conduct weekly training sessions for Body Weld, Paint, and Assembly departments.

  • Deliver Bootcamp training programs for new hires (10-14 days) and periodic refresher training for existing team members (5-6 days).

What We're Looking For

  • Lead training sessions with both new hires and experienced members within the BPE organization.

  • Create new training plans as new technologies are implemented.

  • Perform offline and/or online robot programming.

  • Confirm that new model equipment meets established standards and performs as intended.

  • Prepare and validate new Body equipment at supplier locations.

  • Support Machine Seibi activities at North American Manufacturing Companies from installation through start of production.

  • Develop equipment countermeasures during setup and trial phases.

  • Engage in domestic and international travel assignments including Japan, Canada, Mexico, and North American Manufacturing Companies.

  • Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead classroom and hands-on technical training programs.

  • Develop and maintain training curriculum and technical training materials.

  • Support Seibi Technicians during production launch activities.

  • Work directly with operations and maintenance teams to transfer technical knowledge.

  • Support machine setup, troubleshooting, and production readiness activities.

  • Conduct equipment validation, installation support, and performance verification.

  • Participate in production trials and equipment evaluations.

  • Travel to manufacturing plants and supplier locations to provide technical support and training.

Required Qualifications

  • Current or recent Seibi or automotive maintenance experience with 10+ years of experience.

  • Toyopuc PLC troubleshooting and logic updates experience within Client environments with 10+ years of experience.

  • Omron PLC troubleshooting and logic updates experience within Client environments with 3+ years of experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

  • Training experience within Seibi technical groups or maintenance organizations with 10+ years of experience.

  • Ability to train others in both classroom environments and through On-the-Job Training (OJT).

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, including international travel to Japan, Canada, Mexico, and U.S. manufacturing sites.

  • Willingness and ability to work up to 50% overtime and weekends as business needs require.

  • Strong people management and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to write and develop technical training curriculum.

  • Prior Client experience is highly preferred.

  • Willingness to perform both training and hands-on floor support responsibilities in a 50/50 capacity.

Additional Information

  • PPE Requirement: Steel-toe shoes required. Remaining PPE will be provided by Client.

  • Interview Process: In-person interviews preferred. Microsoft Teams interviews will be considered for non-local candidates.

  • Position requires significant interaction with manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering teams.

  • Weekly training support will be provided for Body Weld, Paint, and Assembly operations.
