Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Schedule:
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend

Requirements:
- State license: NY license required
- Years of experience: 1-2 years (confirm before submittal)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- EMR: Epic charting required
- Previous travel experience required
- Distance: Candidates must be greater than 50 miles from facility

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics with common diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, chest pain, cellulitis, and non-specific abdominal pain.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and manage dysrhythmias.
- Participate in Emergency Response Teams as required.
- Administer medications and blood products safely.
- Perform IV starts, maintenance, and care for peripheral, PICC, and central lines.
- Implement isolation precautions and utilize PPE as appropriate.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 12 hours
- Pre-approved time off: 1 day per contract
- Float requirement: Candidates will float as necessary
- RTO rule: Cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days RTO
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
- Modules: Billable up to 5 hours (total module time may reach 10 hours; excess non-billable). Modules completed pre-start.
