Your Role In The Community

• Carrying out thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing individualized treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either collaboratively with physicians or autonomously (as per your licensure)
• Engaging with patients and their families on topics of prevention, wellness, and disease control
• Prescribing medications and treatment options within the established scope of practice
• Overseeing patient follow-ups and chronic disease management

• Maintaining thorough and precise documentation within electronic health records (EHR)

Education Credentials

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Louisiana
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or another relevant specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure these within 90 days)
