Job Description
CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The CVOR Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care for patients undergoing cardiac surgical procedures. This role includes responsibilities such as scrubbing and circulating in the operating room during cardiac surgeries, as well as responding to emergencies as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the CVOR setting.
• Manage and assist with surgical procedures, including scrubbing and circulating duties.
• Respond to cardiac emergencies swiftly and effectively.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records using electronic charting systems.

Schedule Information

This position requires a day shift, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Weekend coverage is required on a monthly basis, from Saturday at 0600 to Monday at 0600.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with active CVOR experience.
• Strong prior experience in scrubbing and circulating in the OR is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for assignments that may require travel between multiple locations.

Additional Information

• This role does not require block scheduling.
• The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1.
• On-call duties are required based on departmental needs.
• Associates may be required to float to various units and facilities based on skill set.
• Travelers will be given additional incentives and accommodations when floating to designated locations.
