The role in one line

An established, independent women's health practice in South Florida is looking for a hands-on Director of Operations to own the business side of the practice, strengthen how we operate, and help us grow — so our physician-owner can focus on patient care and on building a community-health mission alongside the practice.

About the practice

We're a physician-owned OB/GYN and women's health practice that recently became independent and moved into our own space. We're entering an exciting growth chapter. Our founder is an experienced physician who is focusing her energy on patient care and a community-health initiative — and is looking for a strong operator to take full ownership of the business and operations.

What you'll own

• Revenue cycle. Billing, coding oversight, claims, denials, and collections. You'll own the practice's revenue cycle end to end and strengthen cash flow.

• Payer contracts & credentialing. Know every contract and rate, keep providers credentialed, and identify renegotiation opportunities.

• Team & front office. Build a front office that runs on strong systems — reliable coverage, clear expectations, cross-training, and a great patient experience.

• Financial management. Own the monthly P&L alongside our CPA, and give the owner clear, reliable reporting.

• Growth & revenue mix. Partner with the owner to add profitable services (ancillaries, membership/recurring -revenue models), improve provider productivity, and onboard mid-level providers.

• Vendors & operations. EHR, suppliers, the office, and the day-to-day that keeps the practice running smoothly.

Your first 90 days

How we'll define early success together:

1. Weeks 1–4 — get the full picture. Review the revenue cycle and payer contracts, get to know the team and workflows, and bring the owner a clear read on the biggest opportunities to strengthen operations and cash flow.

2. Weeks 4–8 — put systems in place. Tighten the claims and collections process and establish reliable front-office coverage and routines.

3. Weeks 8–12 — stabilize & plan for growth. A clean monthly P&L, documented core workflows, and a growth plan for the revenue mix and provider staffing.

What we're looking for

• A track record running a small-to-midsize medical practice , including strengthening operations and the revenue cycle.

• Deep revenue-cycle fluency — billing, coding, denials, and payer contracts, with an eye for opportunities others miss.

• A true operator who thinks about the whole business, not just the schedule.

• Ownership and drive — you take initiative, solve problems, and hold yourself and your team accountable.

• People leadership with judgment — you build strong teams with both structure and genuine care.

• Comfort with a mission-driven owner — you're energized that this practice also anchors a community-health effort for underserved women and teens.

Nice to have: women's-health / OB-GYN experience, familiarity with the Florida payer landscape and APRN scope rules, and experience adding ancillary services or membership models.

Compensation

Competitive base commensurate with experience, plus benefits, with a performance component available for a candidate who drives strong results. Competitive base salary of $80,000–$120,000 depending on experience, plus benefits and a performance bonus tied to operational and growth targets that could allow compensation to reach or exceed $130,000+ after the first year.
