Job Summary:

The Electrophysiology Technician provides specialized support in the EP lab, assisting in complex cardiac procedures and ensuring quality patient care. The role demands technical expertise, compliance with certifications, and flexibility to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform and support electrophysiology procedures within the EP lab according to established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Maintain and troubleshoot EP lab equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to safety standards and infection control policies throughout all procedures.
  
  
• 
  Document procedures accurately in the electronic health record system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  
  
• 
  Comply with all certification requirements and stay updated on industry best practices.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Minimum of 2 years of EP lab experience, including Cath and IR procedures.
  
  
• 
  Current RCVT certification preferred; AHA or Red Cross ACLS and BLS required; RCIS preferred.
  
  
• 
  Ability to float within scope to support multiple hospital locations.
  
  
• 
  Must hold valid license and be eligible to work locally within the specified radius.
  
  
• 
  Availability to work day shifts, with on-call duty required.
  
  
• 
  Nicotine-free, negative 10-panel drug screen required prior to start.
