Front Desk Agent - Hampton Inn South Plainfield

We are currently looking for a Night Auditor to join our Front Desk Team at Hampton Inn by Hilton, South Plainfield. The hotel has 107 guest rooms, is located off I-287/I-95 in South Plainfield, and is close to Rutgers University and the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center. Responsibilities Greeting guests and completing the check‑in/check‑out procedure through the Property Management System while obtaining and storing pertinent information. Handling cash, credit card information, and goods at the property. Identifying the needs of each guest, providing relevant information regarding hotel services and amenities, and responding to all guest requests in a timely manner. Taking reservations from incoming callers, inputting all pertinent information into the hotel management system, and updating or canceling reservations as requested. Organizing previous shift paperwork, closing and balancing all room accounts and vouchers, investigating and analyzing out‑of‑balance situations, and running trial balance reports for the night audit. Qualifications Customer Service experience in a hotel setting preferred. Hilton experience is a plus. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Computer knowledge including intranet, Property Management System, Word, and Excel strongly preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving history subject to company approval. Typical schedule: Overnights, 11 PM–7 AM. Weekend availability needed.
