Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | 3 Days/Week | 12 Hours/Shift | 36 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $60 – $64/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care across Long-Term Care and Acute Care settings, including critical care and emergency patients.

Required Qualifications

• Active RRT license in hand prior to submission.

• BLS Certification.

• Minimum 1 year of RRT experience.

• Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience.

• Long-Term Care experience.

• First-time travelers accepted.

• Willingness to work every other weekend.

• Willingness to float between Long-Term Care and Acute Care facilities as needed.

• Personal vehicle required for Eastern Region contracts.

• Strong skills in respiratory assessment, airway management, suctioning, and mechanical ventilation.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care across Long-Term Care and Acute Care settings.

• Assess and treat patients with CHF, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and respiratory infections.

• Perform respiratory assessments and provide appropriate interventions.

• Manage mechanical ventilation and assist with ventilator weaning.

• Assist with intubation and perform extubation procedures as required.

• Perform airway placement, suctioning, and tracheostomy care.

• Administer respiratory treatments and medications as ordered.

• Perform ABG sampling and pulmonary hygiene procedures.

• Manage patients receiving HFNC, BiPAP, and CPAP.

• Troubleshoot ventilator alarms and respiratory equipment issues.

• Provide oxygen therapy using T-piece, trach collar, bag-and-mask, and ET tube systems.

• Operate respiratory equipment including Hamilton Vent, Servo-U, NKV330, and V60.

• Monitor patient responses and communicate changes to the healthcare team.

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection-control and safety protocols.

• Float between Eastern Region hospitals, including LTC and Acute Care, based on facility needs.
