Registered Nurse (RN) NICU Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Part Time, 24 Hours; 7:00pm - 7:00am NICU Department highlights Fast-paced Level III NICU Provides care for 22+ weeks Cooling, High Frequency Ventilator Supportive leadership supporting opportunities for certification in High-Risk Neonatal Nursing Here’s What You Need Diploma in Nursing required or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program BSN preferred One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program. One year of NICU experience strongly preferredli> RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and NRPA - Advance Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training required within 90 days and maintained annually What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
