The Behavior Technician is responsible for implementing therapeutic clinical services using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and following individualized behavior plans as developed by lead BCBA/LABA and under their supervision in the client’s home, in the community and during center based social activities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

§ High School Diploma or equivalent

§ Ability to develop rapport and maintain relationships with clients

§ Behave in a Professional Manner

§ Excellent oral and written communication skills

§ Remain alert and focused

§ Exercise independent judgment and initiative to perform the essential duties of this role

§ Demonstrate strong technical competence/learning in information technology including Artemis Scheduling/Data Collection Software

§ Must maintain the ability to travel to session location

§ Follow all company Policies and Procedures

§ Attend Staff Trainings

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Have a knowledge of and maintain HIPAA Compliance for all clients

§ Maintain punctuality, and reliable attendance

§ Enter all sessions, as scheduled by Officer Manager, into Artemis calendar by Monday at 5pm each week

§ Observe clients during session and record data accordingly in Artemis

§ Enter session notes and sign by the end of the day the session is performed

§ Meet with lead BCBA monthly to review Client Programming

§ Maintain required Supervision Hours (10% of hours worked per month)

§ Will become proficient with ABA techniques

§ When deemed ready by supervisor, will complete 40-hour Relias course and take exam to complete RBT certification.

§ Once completed, will maintain RBT Certification and registration with the BACB

§ Other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

The physical demands and work environment described below represent the activities and surroundings of the positions. The incumbent must be able to perform all essential functions without restriction.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time, stand for long periods of time, remain alert and focused, and be able to keep a client safe physically. There is a potential for the incumbent to have to walk or run after a client should they elope. To perform the job, the incumbent is frequently required to talk and hear in-person with individuals and groups. The incumbent may carry materials weighing up to 30 lbs. The incumbent is required to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form.
