Job Description Purpose of the role Liquid Finance Platform covers a variety of roles and is central to the delivery of best-in-class products and services, and for the provision of strategic client and risk solutions across the full spectrum of the Prime Financing businesses. Accountabilities Working with clients to optimise the Liquid Financing relationship Provide best-in-class service and escalation oversight Primary contact for Liquid Financing clients in areas such as trading, risk, billing and reporting Provide expertise on industry and regulatory initiatives Subject matter expert for our clients, with a deep understanding of each client’s business mix, operational requirements and product sensitivities Vice President Expectations To contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.. If managing a team, they define jobs and responsibilities, planning for the department’s future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions/changes. They may also lead a number of specialists to influence the operations of a department, in alignment with strategic as well as tactical priorities, while balancing short and long term goals and ensuring that budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.. Barclays Capital Inc. seeks VP - Prime Services Product Manager in New York, NY (multiple positions available): Execute key aspects of the Global Equity Finance Business plan, particularly focusing on creating, implementing, and enhancing our current Synthetics Finance services and products. Develop and deliver on strategic agenda, focusing on addressing client demand through new products and other business drivers. Prepare reports and educate internal stakeholders on Synthetic Finance and Synthetic Prime Brokerage impacts to our business, and the financial resource management aspects of providing said services. Drive change, mediate, and serve as a resource and representative on issues with other groups, representing desk values and issues to partner groups. Partner with business owners on strategic initiatives to develop solutions and with support partners to bring solutions to fruition, including: EFG Traders, Risk Management, FRM Teams, PBMO & GMO, PCG, Regulatory & Industry Bodies, IT and other Operational support teams. Support the Equity Financing Franchise, as defined by the Business Head objectives. Work with the sales and trading on the desk to identify areas for improvement in processes and operational efficiencies. Partner with Middle Office and Settlements to represent the desk’s objectives to improve processing and settlement functionality and improve efficiencies/reduce fails. Apply acquired business knowledge for development of required solutions. Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $222,000.00 per year Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $225,000.00 per year The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available. This position is eligible for incentives pursuant to Barclays Employee Referral Program.
