PHLEBOTOMIST FULL TIME EVENINGS

Responsibilities Phlebotomist responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients. Must be proficient in venipuncture and capillary puncture, follow laboratory policy on proper identification and handling of specimens. Provide care to patients from neonates to geriatrics. Willing to cross‑train in additional roles and float to other departments. Recognizes signs and symptoms of stroke, calls stroke alert, verbalizes stroke alert process, draws blood for stroke panel and delivers specimens to laboratory on stroke alert patients. Qualifications High school diploma; Technical School or Associate of Applied Science or AS degree preferred. 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required within 6 months of hire. Phlebotomy Certification required.
