Details Fast-paced adult emergency department at a Level 1 trauma center, designated Stroke Center, and Primary PCI center for Acute MI patients Unit encompasses Triage, Trauma, Rapid Assessment Area, and Emergency Acute Care Area Day/evening 12-hour shifts with variable start times (7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 9:00 AM–9:00 PM, or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM) No block scheduling and no set schedule — shift times vary Epic EMR used; experience required 13-week contract Requirements Active MD or Compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a Level 1 trauma center or academic hospital required Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS TNCC or ATCN preferred Epic EMR experience required Strong critical thinking skills with ability to function in a high-acuity, high-volume environment SSN and DOB required for consideration 1 professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include emergency nursing care across triage, trauma, rapid assessment, and acute care areas Role demands skills in critical thinking, public health, and patient education given the highly varied patient population Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
