Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the phlebotomy supervisor and/or shift supervisor, the phlebotomist is responsible for performing phlebotomy skills efficiently and appropriately, following the policies and procedures established by the hospital and laboratory department to ensure the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Receptionist duties for the laboratory.
• Coordinating laboratory activities.
• Responsible for phlebotomy.

Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Successful completion of an accredited Phlebotomy or Certified Medical Assistant program is required.
• 1 year working in a hospital or clinical setting
• Ability to listen, interact, and communicate verbally and in writing.
