This role owns the performance, revenue growth, and operational excellence across digital sales channels, including direct to consumer (D2C), marketplaces, and B2B online purchasing platforms. This leader serves as the architect of our digital commerce capability in the U.S., driving seamless online customer experiences, shaping digital demand generation, and building the technology and analytics foundation needed for sustained growth. The Director partners closely with IT, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Legal, Finance, and Marketing Communications to ensure compliant, high performing systems and customer pathways within a regulated healthcare environment. Benefits offered include a 401(k) plan with company contributions, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, employee assistance program, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage.# # **Responsibilities**# **E‐Commerce Strategy & Leadership*** Develop and execute the U.S. Clinical Nutrition e commerce strategy, aligned to business goals and future channel priorities.* Own digital channel P&L, including revenue, margin, cost to serve, CAC, LTV, and conversion performance.* Define annual growth plans, digital sales forecasts, profit targets, and platform investment roadmaps.* Establish KPIs for channel performance and regularly present results to executive management.**Digital Sales Channels*** Lead and optimize all digital sales channels, including:* Direct to consumer online stores (company owned)* Marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, specialty nutrition or medical platforms)* B2B procurement platforms (where strategically relevant)* Distributor and partner online ordering systems* Build the digital merchandising strategy: product listings, content accuracy, A+ content, claims compliance, and promotional execution.* Coordinate cross functional input for smooth integration between e commerce platforms, ERP, CRM, data systems, and third party logistics.**Customer Experience & UX Optimization*** Lead continuous improvement of digital customer experience, including site navigation, search functions, checkout flow, subscription programs, and help center resources.* Oversee A/B testing programs to improve conversion rates and user experience.* Ensure all digital content meets medical, legal, and regulatory standards for medical nutrition.**Digital Marketing & Demand Generation*** Partner with Marketing Communications to build full‐funnel digital acquisition strategies including SEO/SEM, paid search, paid social, email automation, retargeting, and affiliate programs.* Develop and optimize digital activation plans with clear ROAS and CAC targets.* Oversee content and digital campaign performance dashboards.**Digital Analytics & Data Management*** Build and manage a small digital analytics and e‐commerce operations team.* Implement dashboards tracking traffic, sales, funnel performance, retention, and subscription metrics.* Utilize GA4, Power BI, CRM, and CDP tools to generate insights and inform decisions.**Cross Functional Leadership*** Act as the primary commercial stakeholder with IT for digital infrastructure, integration, cybersecurity, and system enhancements.* Align closely with Regulatory, Legal, Medical Affairs, and Quality to ensure compliant digital promotional and transactional environments.* Partner with Supply Chain & Customer Service to optimize online fulfillment, inventory availability, delivery SLAs, and return processes.**Governance, Compliance & Data Security*** Ensure all online activities comply with healthcare industry regulations, including: + FDA claims guidelines + HIPAA and data privacy standards + State and federal e‐commerce regulations* Partner with Legal and Compliance on evolving digital policies.**Leadership & Organizational Development*** Build a modern, digitally fluent team capable of scaling e commerce capabilities.* Establish clear accountability, coaching, and performance frameworks.* Support the Nutrition Leadership team in establishing a digital-first, customer-centric mindset across the Clinical Nutrition commercial organization.**Job Requirements*** Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred (e.g., MBA, Digital Commerce, Marketing, or related field).* 10+ years related experience, with 5+ years leading e‐commerce strategy and operations in healthcare, medical nutrition, dietary supplements, medical devices, wellness tech, or comparable regulated industries.* Demonstrated success scaling D2C and/or marketplace businesses within the context of a multinational company.* Hands-on expertise with e‐commerce platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud or similar).* Experience with digital analytics tools (GA4, Looker, Power BI), CRM systems, CDPs, and marketing automation platforms.* Strong knowledge of regulated content requirements, claims accuracy, and digital compliance with FDA, HIPAA, and privacy laws.* Deep understanding of SEO, SEM, digital merchandising, funnel management, and CRO.* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.* Must have the ability and willingness to travel based on business need of 30 to 50% – Air/Auto travel along with a valid driver’s license.* Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs.# # **Additional Information**We offer an excellent salary and benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, as well as life insurance, disability, 401K with company contribution, and wellness program.Fresenius Kabi is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
