Job Summary Charge Capture Associate (Outpatient) Evening Shift - 5 x 8s, typically M - F but possible weekend as well. 4pm to 12:30am. Strong data entry skills. Monitor and meet daily/weekly revenue targets and KPIs. Review medical records for coding accuracy and compliance. Identify and resolve missing or conflicting encounter information. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer policies and billing regulations. Utilize charge capture system and pipelines to forecast revenue potential. Resolve charge denials and reworkables with root‑cause analysis. Collaborate with clinical staff to obtain clarifications for ambiguous charges. Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives. Prepare and maintain audit‑ready documentation of charge capture activities. Escalate high‑risk issues and variances to leadership with recommended actions. Provide timely feedback and mentoring to peers to promote learning. Experience/Qualifications Outpatient charge capture accuracy with timely submission targets. Meet daily/weekly revenue targets and KPI milestones. Resolve charge denials with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions. Review medical records for coding accuracy and payer compliance. Identify missing or conflicting encounter data and rectify. Utilize charge capture systems and pipelines to forecast revenue potential. Prepare audit‑ready documentation of all charge capture activities. Remain current on payer policies and billing regulations. Collaborate with clinical staff for clarifications on ambiguous charges. Participate in ongoing process improvement and standardization initiatives. Escalate high‑risk variances to leadership with recommended actions. Strong attention to detail and high accountability for personal results. Provide timely feedback and mentoring to peers to promote learning.
