the client invites nominations and applications for the position of dean of the client’s undergraduate college of arts and sciences. the client seeks a strategic, collaborative, and intellectually engaged leader to guide the college during a pivotal moment for the liberal arts and for higher education. the dean will draw on strong faculty, an academically ambitious student body, and the resources of a leading research university to advance a bold and unifying vision for the college’s next chapter. the dean will lead efforts to elevate the college’s impact during a time of transition. responsibilities include guiding a collaborative strategic planning process; strengthening communication and community across faculty, staff, and students; supporting excellence in teaching and research; stewarding and diversifying financial resources; and championing the value of the liberal arts to internal and external audiences. the role also involves clarifying the college’s unique positioning within the broader institution and the higher education landscape while sustaining an institutional commitment to inquiry, interdisciplinarity, and the public good. the client’s recruitment is supported by a national executive search firm. screening of complete applications will begin immediately and continue through completion of the search process. qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.
