QA SDETLocation: Norwalk, CTDuration: 12 Months + You should have demonstrated expertise in software test including designing and executing test cases. You should also be proficient with software feature analysis, test case analysis, requirements analysis, software review and defect tracking systems.Role and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and participate in requirements review and testing activities to deliver high quality products and incremental value with every iteration.Document test plans and acceptance criteria using JIRA, Rally or such solution life cycle management tools.Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source toolsDemonstrate proactive ownership of issues and problemLead the development and execution of test casesWork closely with developers to debug/test product featuresLog defects in software defect tracking systemTake part in peer and external reviewsIdentify risks and dependencies of the product and its subsystems, prioritize the effort, deliver the project on time and per milestones, specifications and expected standardsDevelop business and product knowledge over time and share such knowledge to mentor newer team members.Ensure proactive and cooperative relationships exist within the team and other individuals/groups that interface with the teamQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical fieldPreference will be given to candidates with 5 years of experience in a Software Quality Assurance role.Expertise in software development with API automation, Postman, Soap UI/Pro groovy script and/or c# with NUnitExpertise with API development with REST, JSON or XMLWorking knowledge of relational database technologies and SQLExperience testing of applications on web-based, client/server platformsExperience developing acceptance and integration test automation scriptsExperience with testing and deploying automation applicationsExperience using software Quality Assurance methodologies, best practice and toolsets.Experience developing high quality test strategies and test execution with specific focus on cross browser and cross device testing.Strong team orientation, ability to work alone as well as direct small group projectsResults and time oriented, highly self-motivated and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHave solid cross-group collaboration skills and have a history of working within a software test and development teamSoftware testing experience with an organized and structured approachA passion for quality and delivering a stable productAbility to deal with changing priorities
