Quick Facts Location: 34800 Bob Wilson Dr, San Diego, CA 92134, United States Start Date: 07/01/2026 (tentative) Duration: 1-year minimum, with potential extensions through 2031 Shift: Mon–Fri, days, 8-hour shifts Work Hours: 40 hours/week On-Call: 2 overnight shifts/month, 1 weekend call every 3 months On-Call Hours: 4:00 PM–7:00 AM Employment Type: 1099 Contractor Certifications: Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery; Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery Licensure: Active, unrestricted medical license in California Experience: At least 1 year post-residency, specialized training in foot and ankle surgery Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $300/hour Pay Schedule: Weekly direct deposit Benefits: Competitive pay package, referral bonuses, paid sick leave, licensure, certification, travel reimbursements (as applicable), and more What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive evaluations including medical histories, exams, and imaging interpretation Develop and manage non-surgical treatment plans for foot and ankle conditions Perform a full range of foot and ankle surgeries such as fracture fixation, arthroscopy, joint replacements, and deformity corrections Handle complex trauma, limb salvage, and high-acuity cases Oversee pre- and post-operative patient care, including wound management and rehab Participate in multidisciplinary teams and resident education Provide urgent/emergent orthopedic care during on-call shifts Maintain accurate medical documentation and records Contribute to clinical research and operational readiness What You Need Required: MD or DO from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school Current, active, unrestricted medical license in California Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery Minimum 1-year post-residency experience Preferred: Experience working in military healthcare settings Strong surgical and diagnostic skills in foot and ankle SPD About the Assignment Join a leading medical facility in San Diego providing specialized orthopedic services to active-duty military members and their families.
