Job Title Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN), Cardio Thoracic ICU Employment Information Location: Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, 94 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039 Status: Per Diem (Hourly) Shift: Day Pay: $74.27 per hour Req #: 0000249198 Job Summary Organize and administer individualized age‑specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities. Qualifications Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Minimum 2 years recent/current experience in specialty. Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Successful completion of all orientation programs. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating (Preferred). Certifications and Licenses Required Current and active Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Scheduling Requirements Per Diem. 2‑12.5‑hour shifts per month, both shifts on the weekend. 1‑12.5‑hour Summer Holiday (Easter, July 4th, Labor Day). 1‑12.5‑hour Winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). Essential Functions Managing post‑open heart patients. Other Duties Other duties may be assigned as needed. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
