PACU

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PACU for a temporary assignment in Clarkston, Washington. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a PACU:

• Demonstrate strong skills in Pre, Post, PACU, Phase II, Endoscopy, and Infusion nursing care

• Work a schedule of 4 - 10-hour shifts with a variable schedule and shared on-call rotation for PACU

• Maintain a minimum of two years of SSSU/PACU/PRE/POST experience

• Float to the entire Outpatient Services area, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-operative Clinic, and hospital needs for conscious sedation for special procedures

• Perform SSSU/PACU nursing care duties as required

• Utilize nursing assessment skills, including peri-operative education and care

• Recognize and respond to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications

• Provide conscious sedation support for special procedures as needed
