Job Title: General Laborer Job Description

This role supports a large semiconductor facility by cleaning and disposing of materials throughout the site, with a strong focus on recycling and safe material handling. You will work in assigned areas such as cafeterias, fabrication (fab) spaces, and other operational zones, ensuring they remain clean, organized, and compliant with facility standards. The position involves regular use of basic hand tools and may include work in both outdoor areas and clean room environments.

• Clean and maintain assigned areas within the semiconductor facility, including cafeterias, fabrication areas, and other designated zones.
• Collect recyclable materials throughout the facility, including from production and common areas.
• Sort, consolidate, and prepare recyclable and waste materials for proper disposal or processing.
• Use basic hand tools daily to assist with cleaning, material handling, and general labor tasks.
• Perform construction-style cleanup and janitorial duties in active or recently completed work areas.
• Support material handling activities, which may include operating equipment such as forklifts if trained and authorized.
• Follow all site-specific rules, including working without personal phones or computers while on the facility floor.
• Work effectively as part of a large on-site team to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Adapt to different work areas or tasks as needed, including potential rotation into clean room environments.
• Maintain a high level of safety awareness, including proper use of steel-toed boots and adherence to facility safety procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to successfully complete and maintain eligibility through a lifelong background check via ISP Promesa.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a non–climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to utilize basic hand tools safely and effectively on a daily basis.
• Capability to perform general labor tasks, including standing, walking, and working outdoors for the majority of the shift.
• Comfort working in environments that may include clean rooms and strict facility protocols.
• Reliability in adhering to set schedules, including Monday through Friday day shifts and potential rotating shifts after conversion.
• Steel-toed boots (required for daily work).

• Experience with construction cleanup or construction janitorial work.
• background in general labor roles within industrial, construction, or manufacturing settings.
• Exposure to material handling tasks, including forklift operation or operating similar equipment.
• Ability to adapt to changing assignments, such as moving between outdoor areas and clean room environments.
• Strong teamwork skills and comfort working as part of a large on-site crew.

The position is based at a large semiconductor manufacturing facility where you will work on-site as part of a team of approximately 65 employees. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday, either 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the possibility of moving to rotating shifts after conversion. You will spend about 95% of your shift in the outside environment, often in non–climate-controlled conditions, and must be comfortable working in varying weather. Work may also include assignments in clean room areas within the wafer manufacturing facility, requiring adherence to strict cleanliness and operational protocols. The site enforces a phone-free and computer-free policy on the floor, so personal devices are not used in work areas. You will regularly use basic hand tools and may work around or with equipment used for material handling. Steel-toed boots are required as part of the daily attire, and the overall environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Taylor, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
