Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential occupational therapy services throughout the full 2026-2027 school year. This role is ideal for an experienced OT who is passionate about empowering students with disabilities to reach their fullest potential. Working with a diverse caseload of children ages 5-14, you will deliver targeted, 1:1 therapy to those primarily diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, as well as students with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and a variety of other genetic conditions.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8AM – 2PM, offering balance and predictability for your professional and personal life. You’ll manage approximately 55 weekly sessions, ensuring focused attention and tailored interventions to help each child achieve progress in their school environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license and registration (OTR/L), with eligibility to practice in New York State
• Proven experience working in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Familiarity or background with autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, CP, and related genetic disabilities
• Ability to design customized, evidence-based interventions and monitor progress
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teachers, aides, and families
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive therapy experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual OT sessions tailored to distinct student needs and IEP goals
• Develop, implement, and update therapy plans and documentation
• Collaborate with school teams to support accommodations and interventions in classroom contexts
• Educate and empower educators and caregivers regarding strategies for student success
• Maintain detailed records and track measurable outcomes
