Space Radar Test Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Space Radar Test Engineer in Baltimore, MD for a one-year contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Space Radar Test Engineer will support onsite test bench operations for Assembly, Integration, and Test of a production Space RADAR Payload program. This role focuses on executing test scripts, verifying software/hardware/system requirements, analyzing test data in MATLAB, and supporting RF test activities for space-based sensor systems.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
• 2–5 years of sensor systems or space integration and test experience.
• Assembly, integration, and test experience.
• MATLAB experience for executing, editing, and improving existing code for test data analysis and trending.
• Experience executing test scripts for verification of software, hardware, and system requirements.
• Ability to support test bench operations for space applications.
• Willingness to work dedicated 3rd shift for 1 year.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• No clearance required to start, but must be eligible for TS/SCI.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with RF systems, especially radar.
• Experience with radar and/or Electronically Scanned Array antenna integration and test.
• Experience with space payload or space vehicle integration and test.
• Experience working in a clean room environment.
• Working knowledge of RF test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and power meters.
• Programming and scripting skills.
• Python experience.
• Tcl scripting experience.
• Experience executing, editing, and improving existing scripts.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.
• Active TS and/or SCI clearance.
• Experience with antenna arrays, radar systems, space payloads, integration testing, assembly testing, RF testing, and test data analysis.

What You'll Do

• Support onsite test bench operations for Assembly, Integration, and Test of a production Space RADAR Payload program.
• Execute test scripts to verify software, hardware, and system requirements.
• Use MATLAB to execute, edit, and improve code for test data analysis and trending.
• Support verification activities for space-based applications.
• Work with RF test equipment and test procedures as needed.
• Support integration and testing of radar payload hardware and related systems.
• Analyze test data and help identify trends, issues, or anomalies.
• Support clean room or space payload test activities when required.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support production test objectives.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Onsite in Baltimore, MD.
• 5x8 schedule, Sunday night–Friday morning.
• 3rd shift: 9:00 PM–5:00 AM.

Pay

• $88.96/hour
