Job Description

The Warehouse Specialist supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring accurate inventory movement, safe material handling, and efficient workflow across shipping, receiving, and production. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory counts, perform regular cycle counts, and promptly update system records to reflect product movement.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, including checking quantities, inspecting materials for accuracy and quality, and completing all required documentation.
• Handle materials safely by moving products using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment, following training and safety guidelines.
• Pick, pack, and stage orders according to work orders and customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
• Use RF scan guns and other inventory tracking tools to record product locations, movements, and order status.
• Perform warehouse packing and packaging tasks to prepare products for shipment or transfer, following established standards.
• Organize and maintain warehouse aisles, racks, and work areas so they remain clean, safe, and clearly labeled.
• Support inventory control efforts by monitoring stock levels, reporting discrepancies, and helping prevent losses or misplacements.
• Assist production, quality, and logistics teams with material flow, order staging, and other operational needs as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and best practices when operating forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Participate in order picking and general warehouse duties to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery.

Essential Skills

• Experience with inventory management, including maintaining accurate counts and performing cycle counts.
• Ability to use inventory tracking systems and RF scan guns to record and monitor product movement.
• Hands-on experience with material handling in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely, with training provided as needed.
• Proficiency in order picking, packing, and staging orders according to work orders and customer specifications.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments and completing documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and orders.
• Ability to work reliably in a fast-paced environment and meet daily operational goals.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse workspace.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with cherry picker operation in a warehouse setting.
• Experience in warehouse packing and packaging processes.
• Familiarity with inventory control practices and stock management.
• Ability to support cross-functional teams such as production, quality, and logistics.
• Comfort with using basic warehouse technology and equipment, including RF scan guns and material handling tools.

Work Environment

This role operates on a first shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in a clean, organized warehouse environment. The work involves using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and RF scan guns, with training provided as needed. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and efficient workflow across shipping, receiving, and production areas, creating a structured and orderly setting for daily operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiram, GA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Hiram,GA.
