Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Role: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides specialized patient care for individuals with acute medical conditions, including respiratory therapy, post-transplant, and pulmonary hypertension cases. Responsibilities: Develops and implements individualized care plans, assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, educates patients and families, promotes safety, and ensures quality care aligned with standards. Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, advanced practice nurses, therapists, and social workers, to deliver comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation. Participates in professional development and maintains compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills: Must hold an RN license, with a nursing diploma or associate's degree; a bachelor's degree and less than two years of experience are preferred. Critical nursing skills, patient assessment, communication, and teamwork are essential. Key Duties: Care for patients in private rooms within a 9-bed unit, manage respiratory support weaning, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
