About the Position

Job Title: CVICU RN Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification required Must-Have: Experience with Impella, IABP, LVAD devices; NxStage experience preferred Description: The CVICU RN will care for both cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients. Candidates must have experience with Impella, IABP, and LVAD devices. NxStage experience is preferred. The unit cares for both cardiac medical ICU patients and cardiac/thoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients. The RN will manage a patient ratio of 2:1, including patients with advanced cardiac devices. Strong critical care skills and the ability to function in a high-acuity environment are essential. Commitment to quality care and patient safety is required.
