Security Officer

Location: Cheyenne, WY 82007 Employment Status: Part-Time Position: Unarmed Security Officer Compensation: $20.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Position Overview Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services at an active critical infrastructure construction project in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This position helps support a secure work environment by monitoring site activity, controlling access, conducting routine patrols, and responding appropriately to security concerns. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working independently while following established site procedures. A strong commitment to safety, accurate reporting, and reliable attendance is essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities Site Patrol & Security Conduct scheduled foot and vehicle patrols throughout the construction site Monitor work areas, perimeter fencing, gates, and equipment storage locations Identify unauthorized activity, safety hazards, or property damage Maintain a visible security presence to help discourage trespassing and theft Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel Access Control Verify authorization before permitting entry onto the property Monitor the movement of contractors, vendors, deliveries, and visitors Enforce established access procedures and site security requirements Help maintain accurate visitor and vehicle records when required Incident Response Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, or emergencies Follow client instructions and company procedures during incident response Notify supervisors and emergency responders when appropriate Help preserve a safe and orderly work environment Documentation & Reporting Complete required activity reports every 30 minutes in accordance with site expectations Prepare detailed incident reports and daily activity logs Record observations accurately and submit documentation before the end of each shift Maintain clear communication with supervisors and client representatives Maintain clear communication with supervisors and client representatives Minimum Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Valid driver's license required Ability to pass required background screening Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent observation and situational awareness Dependable attendance and professional work habits Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in construction site security, critical infrastructure, industrial security, or commercial property protection Experience conducting patrols and monitoring controlled-access locations Familiarity with electronic reporting systems and incident documentation Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure Equal Opportunity Employer Citadel Security USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
