Diagnostic Radiology Technologist - Regional Float

Role Overview Seeking a Radiologic Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic, therapeutic, and research radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Independently execute or assist licensed practitioners in imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal image quality. Prepare, administer, and document medications and radiation exposure in compliance with laws and institutional policies. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, maximize patient safety by applying ALARA principles, and evaluate images for accuracy. Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures both within and outside the radiology department, such as in operating rooms or ICUs. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, ensuring proper patient identification, preparation, and confidentiality. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required); a Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred). New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registration within 6 months. Applicants hired after a specified date must complete steps for advancement to level 2 within 24 months. Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation safety, and patient care standards. Ability to evaluate image quality, prepare patients, and follow protocols diligently. Effective communication skills for education and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Ensure correct patient identification, appropriate preparation, and accurate documentation. Perform diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures with attention to safety and quality. Ass ist licensed practitioners during procedures, including in high‑acuity settings.
