Job Description

Join our dynamic team on a 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit. Our patient population includes individuals with diverse medical needs such as cardiac issues, diabetes, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, renal conditions, general surgery, and orthopedic cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Provide care and support for various medical conditions, including the administration of medications such as insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips.
• Participate in unit activities and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries.
• Float to like acuities or less as needed based on census.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required; CPI certification can be completed prior to start.
• Proficiency in heparin, insulin, and Lasix drip protocols is essential.
• Minimum of 1 year of charge nurse experience preferred.
