Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) registered nurse (RN) position located in Wichita, Kansas. This travel assignment involves providing care in a vascular radiology unit, performing a variety of outpatient procedures. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment with a focus on patient care within radiology procedures.

• Required Qualifications:
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) nursing
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in large trauma facilities
  • Ability to work in different radiology modalities throughout the day
  • Positive outlook and flexibility with change
  • Patient care experience is a priority
• Additional Information:
  • Outpatient procedures are performed during hours of 0700-1730 with a call requirement through the night
  • Typical procedures include kyphoplasty, Y-90, peripheral interventions, stroke and trauma cases, diagnostic cerebral cases, drain placements, biopsies, thrombolysis cases, and neuro coiling
  • Patient ratios are 1:1 during procedures and 3-4 in the holding room depending on acuity
  • The unit includes 5 beds in the holding room, a 5-nurse team, and 5 radiologic technologists
  • Must be flexible, adaptable to working in different radiology modalities throughout the day, and possess a positive outlook
