Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:

1. Evaluates the overall progress of the division in terms of plans, schedules, and accomplishments. Investigates technical difficulties and apparent delays and directs corrective actions as necessary.
2. Provides consultation and advice to subordinate supervisors on complex issues and emergency situations.
3. Reviews major findings, conclusions, recommendations, and reports related to the operation and maintenance of the Flaming Gorge and Fontenelle Dams and powerplants, including appurtenant facilities and centralized control equipment supporting the Colorado River Storage Project (CRSP). Ensures technical adequacy of operations, maintenance activities, and compliance with policies and program objectives.
4. Coordinates activities with the Power Manager, regional office personnel, field division managers, office staff, and Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) personnel to integrate plans for operating and maintaining the Flaming Gorge and Fontenelle facilities, as well as other CRSP powerplants and power system operations.
5. Develops and establishes operating instructions, standards, and procedures for power facility operations under normal, special-purpose, and emergency conditions.
6. Plans and schedules all work to be performed by the field division.
7. Directs the preparation and administration of the field division budget.
8. Coordinates with the Regional Office and Western Area Power Administration regarding water storage and release and the generation of power from CRSP facilities in accordance with established schedules, special criteria, emergency conditions, and individual initiative.
