Job Description
Brown University Health has an opening for a hospitalist/nocturnist at Rhode Island Hospitalist, a level 1 trauma center with a closed ICU. This position is for a nocturnist, or a 50/50 day-nights split (84 nights required per year) an exclusively day schedule is not available and a 2026 start is required and non-negotiable.
Position highlights include:- Nocturnist or combination of days and nights
- EMR is EPIC
- 15 shifts per month/187 per year
- Additional 4 weeks of vacation
- Closed ICU
- Optional procedures
- Back up for RRT
- 15 +/- 3 patients per 12-hour day shift

- PSLF eligible

About us
We are a 719-bed, level one trauma center. As the principal teaching hospital of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services, as well as expertise in cancer, cardiology, emergency medicine, neurosciences, orthopedics and more. LPG has a growing network of over 850 providers and offers a multitude of services that encompass medical areas such as primary care, psychiatry and behavioral health, women’s medicine, urgent care, and specialty services including cardiology, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, and ophthalmology.
