Seeking a Senior CAD Technician for battery manufacturing facility . This role focuses on delivering high-quality 2D/3D layouts, utility tie-ins, fabrication, and contractor bidding packages under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.

What You'll Do

• CAD & Model Development: Create and maintain 2D/3D facility, utility, HVAC, piping, and equipment layouts using AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit/Inventor/Navisworks .
• Package Creation: Build contractor-ready fabrication, bidding, procurement, and installation packages complete with BOMs and parts lists.
• Field Verification: Complete plant walkdowns, resolve field mismatches, and integrate contractor redlines into as-built updates .
• Document Control: Coordinate revisions across engineering, maintenance, and external contractors using strict version control workflows.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• 7+ years of heavy industrial CAD layout and equipment installation design experience.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and working proficiency in Revit, Inventor, Navisworks , and ACC.
• Strong ability to read/interpret mechanical, piping, electrical, hydraulic, and structural blueprints.
• Deep knowledge of structural fabrication documentation and practical GD&T (ASME Y14.5) application.
• Capability to manage multiple project schedules independently in an active manufacturing plant.

Bonus Points (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Construction Management.
• Experience with Autodesk Vault , AutoCAD Plant 3D, or SolidWorks.
• Background in automotive, battery manufacturing , clean/dry rooms, or automated production.
• Knowledge of facility utilities (chilled water, compressed air, process exhaust, power distribution).
