Gastroenterology HCA Florida Ocala Hospital, in collaboration with UCF College of Medicine (UCF COM) and a respected private practice, is excited to announce the launch of a new ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology fellowship program, set to begin in 2027. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary Gastroenterologist to serve as Program Director and lead this transformative educational initiative. Board certified in Gastroenterology Must have at least three (3) years of documented educational and / or administrative experience in an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency OR gastroenterology fellowship Proven ability to balance administrative leadership with hands‑on teaching and clinical care Strong interpersonal, communication, and team‑building skills Demonstrated scholarly activity (e.g., Position based exclusively at the Ocala office Direct employment with the private practice Partnership track Comprehensive support system for clinical and academic success Established presence in the community for over 45 years 11 physicians and 8 APPs About Graduate Medical Education at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital HCA is helping to educate over 5,300+ residents and 360+ fellows. HCA Florida Ocala Hospital established Graduate Medical Education in 2016. On‑site Simulation Lab. The future Gastroenterology program is anticipated to have 6 total learners once fully launched / 2 per year. Society of Thoracic Surgeons ranks us as a 3-Star STS Composite Quality provider. We are expanding our Graduate Medical Education (GME) program, currently hosting 160+ residents in partnership with the University of Central Florida (UCF) to train future generations of physicians.
