HVAC Designer

Below job requirements/preferred requirements relate to job tasks required for this position. Minimum Job Requirements Five or more years of progressive and relevant experience in HVAC Design and 3D Modeling. Technical knowledge of related engineering systems, applications of engineering and construction methods and materials, and engineering application of computers. Ability to plan, perform tasks and multi-task on multiple projects. The position requires the ability to present information clearly and effectively through the oral and written words and utilize automated workflow systems. Must be able to coordinate verification and validation of documents with technical and operations personnel prior to release for approval and implementation. Ability to develop and maintain historical information. Ability to prepare, interpret, maintain, and incorporate requirements of technical drawings and operating documents. Preferred Job Requirements Experience in Revit and Smart Plant is a plus. Experience working with point clouds and 3D modeling software for multi-discipline projects. Familiarity with Trane Trace (or similar programs). DOE Work experience. Education Associate degree in related discipline (HVAC or Fire Protection) with two or more years of progressive and relevant experience in HVAC and/or Fire Sprinkler System Design. Work Environment / Physical Demands Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Light to moderate lifting may be required for packages and other items, ability to walk short distances, may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
