Plant Maintenance Manager

Location: Fuquay Varina, NC | Schedule: Full-time, on-site Overview An established manufacturing plant is seeking a Plant Maintenance Manager to oversee all equipment operations and drive process control improvements across the facility. This role is central to ensuring maximum equipment uptime, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. What you'll do Initiate preventive maintenance programs to minimize maintenance costs of all production equipment Execute assignments related to maintenance of machinery and equipment Oversee relocation of machinery and/or equipment, as well as dismantling and removing obsolete or worn-out machinery and/or equipment Plan preventative maintenance activities based on equipment wear history and manufacturer recommendations Develop and maintain key supplier relationships and spare parts inventories Schedule work to prevent idle time and maximize machine utilization Schedule overtime among maintenance employees to ensure fair distribution Determine priority of maintenance job backlog and schedule work accordingly Upgrade the effectiveness of maintenance personnel through training and development Schedule and conduct meetings covering maintenance skills, safety, and company policy Handle job-related problems in maintenance fairly and in accordance with company policies and procedures Ensure team members receive appropriate safety, health, accident prevention, and investigation training Provide leadership in developing measures and practices that prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards Troubleshoot production equipment to support manufacturing and maintenance operations Respond to critical production down situations affecting manufacturing Maintain maintenance software database controlling all Preventative and Predictive Maintenance processes on facilities and equipment Generate and maintain the PM schedule Oversee plant utilities and identify ways to reduce costs Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and rules Required qualifications Bachelor's degree required Recent experience in a Manufacturing plant Excellent communication skills with the ability to supervise and motivate employees in a team environment Expert working knowledge of all machine components and integration Proven mechanical aptitude for analytical problem solving Ability to work with engineering and quality teams to address problem areas and implement solutions Preferred qualifications Manufacturing experience preferably in an automotive setting Why this role This position offers the opportunity to lead maintenance strategy and safety initiatives for an entire plant, playing a key role in equipment reliability and operational cost control. #J-18808-Ljbffr
