The ideal candidate must have some transportation construction experience including experience working on PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, highway and/or bridge projects is preferred.Inspect various facets of work on the construction site.Take field measurements and perform calculations.Prepare relevant inspection reports.Verify that appropriate materials and construction processes are being used.Ensure that construction conforms to the project plans, specifications, and special provisions.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School Diploma (or equivalent) and valid driver's license.Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is desirable.Previous TCI experience or relatedPrefer experience working in a construction related field.ACI Field Technician Certification, PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification, NECEPT Field Technician Certification, NICET Certification in Heavy Highway Construction are highly desirable.Previous experience working on PennDOT or Pennsylvania Turnpike highway and/or bridge projects is preferred.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to sometimes work in adverse weather conditions.Must be physically able to perform moderately strenuous tasks which includes walking along rough terrain, climbing ladders and ability to lift to 50 pounds.BenefitsTRC offers a competitive benefit package consisting of:Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance.401k package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and Company match.Paid time off contingent upon full time or part time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year).All full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 8 Paid Holidays per year.TRC ensures that all employees, including those that work part-time, receive paid sick, family, and disability leave in accordance with the laws of their state of residence.*These benefits are applicable to US employees depending on their employment status (full time, part time, or temporary).
