About This Role

This role is where exceptional care meets the comfort of a smooth end-of-day transition. As an Assistant Teacher for the 2nd Shift, you are a vital part of the support system for our students, working alongside our Lead Teachers to ensure they have a safe, stimulating sanctuary to grow, explore, and wind down. You will contribute to their overall development and well-being, providing a warm and secure environment through the afternoon and evening hours. • Collaborative Care: Work closely with the Lead Teacher to provide attentive and loving care, ensuring every child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
• Curriculum & Activity Support: Assist with implementing age-appropriate, hands-on activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, language acquisition, and social interaction.
• Sanctuary Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, safe, and beautifully organized "home-away-from-home" that adheres to strict health, safety, and progress reports
• Continuous Learning: Participate actively in professional development, training sessions, and team meetings to enhance your skills in early childhood excellence.

• Professional Competencies: Proactive self-starter who demonstrates a continuous growth mindset, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to process improvement.
• Educational Background: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required, although some college coursework and/or an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience working with children in a licensed childcare or early childhood setting is preferred. Knowledge of interactive, hands-on, or technology-focused educational frameworks is a strong plus.
• Team Spirit: A collaborative mindset and the ability to seamlessly take direction from the Lead Teacher while bringing your own passion to the classroom.
• Heart & Soul: Deep patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting the growth and evening care of our students.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to engage in the standing, bending, and lifting required to keep our students safe, engaged, and supported.
• Essentials: First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) and the ability to pass all required background clearances.

Schedule:

Shift: Consistent coverage for our 2nd shift. Options include:

• Full-Time: 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM (inclusive of 1 hour unpaid meal break)
• Full-Time: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (inclusive of 1 hour unpaid meal break)
• Part-Time: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM (no meal break)

Availability: Full-time or Part-time options available; may include occasional academy events outside of regular hours.
