Position Overview This position reports to the Gateways Operations Manager and the Gateway Manager, overseeing the unloading and loading of planes, package sortation, and trucking operations that deliver pallets to the US post office. The Gateway Manager supervises ground support handling of 767 cargo aircraft, piece‑level sortation of packages, and linehaul delivery of sorted packages to the Direct Delivery Unit (DDU) Post offices of the island of Kauai. The operation runs 5 days per week during an evening‑to‑morning shift, with occasional weekend work. This role is capable of stepping into other management positions if needed. Pay Range $55,000 - $65,000 DOE Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Disability insurance Health insurance Life insurance Vision Insurance Voluntary Accident insurance Paid time off Employee Assistance Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the overall operation of plane loading and unloading, package sortation, and trucking operations and ensure compliance with all client metrics, standards, and reporting requirements. Work with our unionized subcontractor to ensure the sortation operation is sufficiently staffed. Supervise all operations to ensure compliance with TSA and DOT requirements. Ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures, customer information, and security requirements. Ensure customer‑required reports are prepared and issued on time. Report safety, security, and theft incidents. Demonstrate internal and external customer service. Qualifications Customer service oriented, friendly, helpful, and professional disposition with strong leadership skills to work in a fast‑paced and always changing environment and manage people optimally. Experience with commercial driving and sortation process is desired. Excellent organization, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills required. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Self‑motivated, able to multi‑task and work effectively under minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment, with strong problem‑solving skills. Consistently capable of working cooperatively with others in a team environment. Physical Requirements The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty pounds will be done using team lift. Must meet physical lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
