We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our team at Onyx Care of Jena, a premier post-acute rehabilitation provider. As a Dietary Cook at Onyx Care, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional culinary care, tailored to their individual needs and preferences.

About the Role:

  • Prepare and cook appetizing and nutritious meals for our patients, using high-quality ingredients and innovative culinary techniques

  • Collaborate with our dietary team to develop menus that cater to our patients' cultural and culinary preferences

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict sanitation and safety standards

  • Provide exceptional customer service to our patients, families, and healthcare teams

  • Dietary Cook

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for patients with varying dietary needs and restrictions, including special diets and special occasions

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory of food, supplies, and equipment

  • Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and workstations to maintain a high level of hygiene and sanitation

  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to meet our high standards of quality and presentation

  • Dietary Cook

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting or related field

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
