Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) – Laredo, TXJoin Driscoll Children's Hospital as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and provide specialized care to newborns and their families in Laredo, Texas. Candidates outside the Laredo area have the flexibility to choose what works best for them:Travel to Laredo for scheduled shifts: Mileage and lodging reimbursement providedRelocate to Laredo: Relocation assistance offeredLocation & Schedule:Location: Driscoll Neonatal Care Center located at Laredo Medical CenterSchedule: 24-hour shifts, typically beginning at 7:00 AM or 8:00 AMResponsibilities:Manage and coordinate care for neonatal patientsObtain maternal and infant health histories and perform physical assessmentsOrder and interpret diagnostic and laboratory studiesDiagnose and treat neonatal conditionsDevelop and manage individualized plans of carePrescribe and manage medications, fluids, respiratory support, nutrition, and other therapiesCoordinate specialty consultations and referrals as appropriateEducate and support parents and families regarding their infant's condition and plan of careCollaborate with neonatologists, bedside nurses, case managers, specialists, families, and community resources to ensure continuity of careQualifications:Masters Degree preferredCurrent Texas RN / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensureNational certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) following completion of formal education accepted by the Texas Board of NursingLicensed to practice as NNP in the State of Texas.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificationBasic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certificationStrong knowledge and experience in neonatal careBenefits:$2,000 per fiscal year for professional licenses, dues, books, and periodicals$1,750 per fiscal year for Continuing Medical Education (CME) expenses32 hours of CME time in addition to standard PTOAbout the Driscoll Health System:The Driscoll Health System is a regional leader in pediatric care, anchored by two free-standing children's hospitals and a broad network of specialty clinics serving families across South Texas.
