Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic school-based contract opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This summer session assignment is ideally suited for a licensed Physical Therapist eager to make a positive impact in an educational environment near the Bronx, NY. The Extended School Year (ESY) program runs from July 6th to August 14th, with a commitment of 3.5 hours per week, offering a manageable and rewarding part-time schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Physical Therapist license in New York
• Previous experience providing PT services in school settings
• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with teachers, staff, and families
• Proven ability to assess and address diverse student needs across K-12
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services to students as prescribed in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies supporting each student’s physical development and classroom participation
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Provide education and strategies to staff and families to reinforce therapy goals
• Track student progress and adjust treatment interventions as appropriate
