Full-Time Assistant Store Manager

We are looking for a natural communicator who can easily strike up a conversation with anyone. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. They should be excited to learn about our products and share that knowledge with customers. The role requires someone who can work independently and as part of a team, ensuring a clean and organized store environment. Candidates must be 18 years or older, and experience in retail or sales management is a plus! Responsibilities Key responsibilities Support the Store Manager with daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures and shift supervision. Lead, motivate, and coach sales associates to meet customer service and sales goals while modeling brand-appropriate behavior and product knowledge. Deliver exceptional customer experiences by assisting shoppers, offering product guidance, and resolving escalated issues with discretion and professionalism. Manage cash handling, POS transactions, deposits, and basic store reporting with accuracy and integrity. Execute merchandising standards, maintain attractive displays, and ensure inventory accuracy through regular counts and loss-prevention practices. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of staff to build a high-performing team. Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment and transfers with senior leadership. Ensure store compliance with safety, cleanliness, and company policies. Skills & Qualifications Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of retail or customer service experience; experience handling cash and operating a POS system. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude. Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor team members and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking, lifting up to 40 lbs, and standing for extended periods. Preferred qualifications Previous supervisory or assistant manager experience in retail. Familiarity with intimate wellness, apparel, or specialty retail categories and a respectful, discreet approach to sensitive product conversations. Experience with inventory management, visual merchandising, and loss-prevention techniques. Bilingual skills (Spanish) a plus for serving the Tempe customer base.
