Technical Marketing Engineer
As a Technical Marketing Engineer, you will integrate deep technical expertise with industry insights to drive portfolio development and technical product strategy. You will act as a consultant to sales teams and customers, translating complex product features into compelling business initiatives and customer use cases. Your role is critical in validating product definitions, conducting proof-of-concepts, and crafting technical collateral that accelerates market adoption. Success in this role is defined by your ability to articulate customer needs into technical requirements, deliver high-impact product demonstrations, and effectively navigate the competitive landscape to expand Cisco's market share.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of a certification or degree program (e.g., Associates, Apprenticeship, Boot Camp, or Certification in a specialized program + 3 years of relevant experience, High School Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience, Bachelors + 2 years of relevant experience) or Masters + 0 years of relevant experience. Relevant fields include: Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Product Management, or related technical/business disciplines.
- Basic knowledge of generic networking and/or optical transmission concepts, gained through university coursework or exams, lab activities, academic projects, internships, or limited work experience. Examples may include routing, switching, optical communication fundamentals, transmission systems, or related networking/telecommunication technologies.

- Demonstrates persuasive written and oral communication
- Knowledge of routing and switching
- Basic automation and software skills, including Linux, VMware, and Python
