Details PACU, Pre-Op, and Phase 2 recovery unit across two hospital locations (main hospital and Day Surgery Center) 1:1 patient ratios 3x12-hour day shifts with start times of 8:00am, 9:30am, and 11:00am Weekend shifts required as needed per unit needs No on-call requirements Floating required between the main hospital and Day Surgery Center, or to an affiliate hospital nearby Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system Requirements Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS preferred 1-2 years of PACU/specialty experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Epic charting experience required Skills in airway assessment, ventilated patient care, and ABG interpretation Experience with cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and central line management Pre/post-operative patient care experience including assessments and discharge instructions Additional Information Level 3 trauma teaching hospital with 317 staffed beds Provide pre-op and post-anesthesia recovery care across surgical specialties including ortho, neuro, cardiac, and general surgery Scrubs provided by the unit First-time travelers are accepted Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible Candidates must have been gone at least 3 months since last worked as perm staff or per diem to be eligible for rehire RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days Fingerprinting is required as part of Minnesota state background check compliance American Traveler Job ID P-748462.
