Los Angeles - Labor & Employment Associate (Mid-to-Senior-Level)

Position Summary The Labor & Employment practice group is seeking an experienced mid- to senior‑level associate to join our Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of employment litigation experience, including single‑plaintiff matters and wage and hour class actions. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in a path to partnership and who is eager to work with a collaborative team, contribute to the growth of the practice, and work with engaging clients on sophisticated matters within a friendly office community. Key Responsibilities Serve as a lead on litigation matters, including managing multiple cases from inception through resolution. Supervise junior associates and staff and act as a client contact. Maintain excellent writing and analytical skills to support case strategy and outcomes. Manage case files, depositions, and/or courtroom proceedings as required. Qualifications Minimum of five years of employment litigation experience, including single‑plaintiff matters and wage and hour class actions. Strong project management skills and the ability to independently manage cases. Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school. Licensed to practice in California. Deposition and/or courtroom experience is a plus. Compensation & Benefits $325,000 - $435,000. This represents the presently‑anticipated low and high end of Reed Smith’s pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
