Territory Manager-Dayton

Location: Dayton, OH | Schedule: Full-time, field-based (mobile store) Overview A long-established, family-owned industrial hardware distributor is seeking a Territory Manager to operate a fully stocked mobile store and deliver industrial hardware directly to customers across a defined geographic territory. The company serves a wide range of sectors, including transportation, aviation, facilities maintenance, aerospace, medical, military, marine, power generation, manufacturing, federal/local government, and heavy equipment industries. This role is critical to maintaining strong, direct customer relationships through a unique mobile sales model. What you'll do Prospect and develop new sales opportunities through research, referrals, and cold-calling on businesses near existing customers Make face-to-face sales calls on both cold and warm prospects Present products and services using sample boards, product demonstrations, and the mobile store Maintain the cleanliness, operation, marketing, and overall functionality of the mobile store vehicle Submit complete and accurate daily business reports detailing sales orders and prospect calls Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer contact information, including notes, names, phone numbers, and addresses, using company software Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Must reside within the assigned territory (relocation is not available) Must be able to purchase or lease an approved mobile store vehicle Must maintain a clean driving history Must have the physical ability to kneel and bend to the floor on a regular basis Strong, stable job history with no pattern of job hopping; ideally a maximum of 3 companies over the past 10 years Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proven history of goal attainment Preferred qualifications Outside industrial sales experience, especially in route or industrial sales Why this role This is an opportunity to run your own mobile store business within a defined territory, serving a diverse range of established industries through direct, face-to-face customer engagement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
