GHD has a great opportunity for an experienced Transportation Engineer in our Central Region!Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Conducting and preparing a variety of transportation analyses and traffic impact studies, including traffic impact analysis, traffic signal warrant analysis, intersection design studies, safety studies, bicycle, and pedestrian planning studies.Specific tasks include:Conducting field reviews and assessing existing conditionsDeveloping design traffic and existing/future traffic conditionsPerforming capacity/LOS and corridor feasibility studiesExecuting operational analyses and traffic simulationsDesigning and optimizing signal timingApplying access management principles to improve corridor operationsPerforming historical crash reviews and advanced safety analysesDeveloping and evaluating multimodal alternativesRecommending improvements and innovationsPreparing high-quality technical reports, memorandums, and project documentationAssisting/leading traffic signal designs and concept plan developmentResponsible for some business development and marketing activities, proposal writing, and maintaining client relations.What you will bring to the TeamBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related degreeMinimum 5 years transportation engineering experienceProfessional Engineering License desiredProfessional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification desiredExperience completing Traffic Impact Studies is required Familiarity with HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic and SIDRA/RODEL traffic capacity analysis softwareFamiliarity with MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil3d and possess ability to become proficient in each, desiredStrong teammate, with the ability to work independently when required, cooperative in open sharing of information and knowledge with teamGood time management ability, ability to handle conflicting priorities and work in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and ability to complete diverse assignments - Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to meet challenging deadlinesTake on some of the world’s toughest challenges - with everyone at GHD backing you every step of the way. PTO starts at 16 days per year and increases with years of serviceHoliday Pay - Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay will be based on the regular set schedule for the employeeWellness Benefit- Regular full-term employees are eligible to participate in the wellness reimbursement program.
