Interventional Radiology Technologist Contract Opportunity
A skilled professional is needed for a contract opportunity in interventional radiology. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise in image-guided procedures, supporting clinical teams and ensuring high standards of patient care.
Desired Skills And Qualifications
- Current certification in Interventional Radiology Technology
- Registered with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or equivalent
- Valid state license as a Radiologic Technologist
- Minimum of 1 year experience in interventional radiology or a related imaging setting
- Detailed knowledge of imaging protocols, safety standards, and sterile techniques
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and staff
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot advanced radiology equipment
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic images
- Assist physicians during complex vascular and non-vascular procedures
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies
- Implement radiation safety procedures to protect patients and healthcare staff
- Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate required maintenance
- Provide clear instructions and support to patients and families regarding procedures
